back in the groove

So. I disappeared for awhile. A lot went down from the end of July to now.

I’ll give a breakdown and will go into more details on later blog posts.

July 2019: Lost my cat Mocha and my Uncle Gary

August – September 2019: Dealt with a lot of pain, tests, and ER visits. Which resulted in surgery to remove my gallbladder and appendix.

October 2019: That was a big recovery month for me as I got better after surgery

December 2019: Was difficult overall. Between the holiday’s where I was missing my grandm, uncle and cat. To having to make a lot of trips to the hospital for my sister’s fiancé as he was struggling with his lung cancer.

January 2020: Wes – my sisters fiancé- lost his battle to Stage 4 lung cancer.

February 2020: I got engaged to my boyfriend.

March 2020: The pandemic hit. We got to see my fiance’s parents before things got bad here in the states.
And because the hits just keep coming, I came down with COVID-19. And battled it until the end of May. During those months my grandfather had a stroke and struggled to get better.

May 2020: Had to go to the ER (on my 30th birthday). And finally got a treatment to work in getting rid of my COVID-19 symptoms.

Just a couple days after my ER trip we found out my grandfather had passed away.

He was the last good grandparent I had and losing him was devastating.

Some good things came in the months that followed May. My fiancé and I found our wedding venue and booked it for October of 2021. We also moved into an apartment together. Which was a headache all by itself.

Overall it’s been a rollercoaster of a year. And there have been times I’ve completely fallen apart and struggled to put myself together again. Blogging has literally been the last thing on my mind. But I’m going to be making an effort to get back to it.

I will probably spend the next few posts updating and elaborating on all the things that have happened in the last year.

thanks for sticking with me. Stay safe. And heathy!
