Hello readers, it’s been a hot minute since I last published a post. Since November to be exact.

Life became chaotic after the election, dealt with a lot of mental health struggles that effectively took me out of the reading game. When I did find time to read I found myself struggling to even do that – and I love reading. The last few months have been crazy, here’s just a peek at what I had on my plate:

Went through connecting with my psychiatrist, which led me to getting a sleep study.

That sleep study led to a second sleep study which led to me getting diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea… which led to getting a CPAP machine.

On Christmas Eve we ended up taking in and adopting another cat. His name was Maverick, but after some hilarious shenanigans he was renamed “Leonardo paw Vinci”. So our Christmas went from normal to chaotic as we struggled to introduce him to Belle. (Spoiler alert: they are still working on accepting each other. Well Belle is still working on it, Leo already loves her.)

After the sleep studies I reconnected with my psychiatrist, who suspects I may have bipolar depression and that’s why my regular antidepressants are not effective. Which then led to trying to ween me off safely from them. Meanwhile I was dealing with some pretty deep depression, and an instance of self-harm. All while communicating weekly with my therapist.

This is the first month things seem to finally be slightly more in control, still waiting to switch onto a better mental health medication for the depression, but hopefully that’s going to happen sooner rather than later. Still not sleeping, the CPAP gives me mad anxiety, and my body is struggling with me for every inch of my current weight loss journey.

I am finally getting back into my blog, bear with me while I catch up on reviews – and hopefully some more regular ones coming your way soon!
